Troubleshooting

Running into an issue? Here are the most common problems and how to fix them.

Before You Start

  • Make sure you are in the correct Discord channel where the Ledgerline bot is active.
  • Check that the bot is online (it should appear in the server member list with a green dot).

Common Issues

"I don't see the slash commands"

  • Refresh Discord — Close and reopen Discord, or press Ctrl+R (desktop) to reload.
  • Check the channel — The bot may only respond in specific channels. Ask a server admin which channel to use.
  • Check your roles — Some commands may be restricted to certain Discord roles.

"My session expired"

Order sessions time out after 30 minutes of inactivity. If your session expired:

  1. Run /register or /order-start to create a new session.
  2. Re-add your items and shipping info.

There is no way to resume an expired session, but starting a new one is quick.

"The bot says I already have an active session"

You can only have one order session at a time. If you started an order but did not finish it, running /register or /order-start returns your existing session so you can pick up where you left off.

If you want to start over, wait for the current session to expire (30 minutes), or ask a server admin to help.

"I submitted my order but have not heard back"

  • Check your payment — Make sure you completed the payment step. The bot sends instructions after /order-submit.
  • Wait for confirmation — For manual payment methods (Venmo, Zelle, etc.), a store admin needs to verify your payment. This is not instant.
  • Contact an admin — If it has been more than 24 hours, reach out to a server admin or store operator.

"I paid but my order still says PENDING_PAYMENT"

For manual payment methods, a store admin must confirm receipt. Let them know you have paid and provide any payment confirmation details (screenshot, transaction ID, etc.).

"I entered the wrong shipping address"

If you have not submitted the order yet, you can re-run /order-shipping with the correct address to overwrite the previous one.

If the order is already submitted, contact a server admin to update the address on your order.

"I want to cancel my order"

You cannot cancel an order through the bot. Reach out to a server admin and ask them to cancel it from the admin panel.

"The bot is not responding at all"

  • The bot may be offline or undergoing maintenance. Wait a few minutes and try again.
  • If the issue persists, let a server admin know — they can check the bot's status.
