Cookie Policy for {{TENANT_NAME}}

Effective date: {{EFFECTIVE_DATE}}

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website or web application places on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit it. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — for example, your login state or language preference — so the site works correctly and you don't have to re-enter information every time you return. Cookies do not contain executable code and cannot access other files on your device; they can only be read by the domain that set them.

2. Cookies We Use

2.1 Essential / Authentication Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the storefront to function. Without them, you cannot log in or maintain a session, and the site will not work as intended. Because they are essential, they cannot be disabled through our settings — you can only block them via your browser settings, which may prevent the storefront from functioning.

Cookie namePurposeDuration
ledgerline_authHttpOnly, Secure, signed session cookie set when you authenticate via Discord OAuth at /api/auth/local/login. Stores only a session identifier; no personal data is embedded in the cookie value.Session (expires on logout or after inactivity)

2.2 Session / Functionality Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced features such as remembering shopping-cart state or in-progress checkout details within a single browsing session. They do not persist after you close your browser.

2.3 Analytics Cookies

If you (as the storefront tenant) have configured a third-party analytics service (for example, Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or similar), that service may set one or more cookies on your customers' devices to collect aggregate usage data such as page views, session duration, and traffic sources. These cookies help you understand how visitors use your storefront.

Tenant action required: List the specific analytics service(s) you use here, along with links to their respective cookie policies or opt-out mechanisms. If you do not use any analytics service, remove this section.

3. Third-Party Cookies

When customers are redirected to third-party payment or authentication pages, those third parties may set their own cookies. We do not control third-party cookies. The most relevant examples for this platform:

  • Stripe — when you complete a card payment on a Stripe-hosted checkout page, Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention and to remember payment method preferences. See Stripe's cookie policy: https://stripe.com/cookie-settings.
  • NOWPayments — when you complete a cryptocurrency payment on a NOWPayments-hosted payment page, NOWPayments may set session and fraud-detection cookies.
  • Discord — Discord sets its own cookies during the OAuth authentication flow. See Discord's privacy policy: https://discord.com/privacy.

These cookies are governed by the respective third parties' privacy and cookie policies, not by this policy.

4. How to Manage Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your web browser settings. Here are quick links to instructions for common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Please note: blocking or deleting the ledgerline_auth cookie will log you out and may prevent the storefront from functioning correctly. Blocking analytics or third-party cookies will not affect your ability to browse or purchase.

You may also use browser extensions such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger to selectively block third-party cookies.

For EU, EEA, and UK residents: where we rely on your consent to set non-essential cookies, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time by adjusting your browser settings or contacting us.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you through the storefront or by email. Your continued use of the storefront after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
